Get a wallpaper vertical border print that looks like a tree. Hang it near the bed. Decorate the rails and frame of the bed with silk vine and artificial apples. To attach apples to the vine, take a length of craft or floral wire and wrap one end around the stem of the apple, leaving a fairly long tail. Wrap the tail around the vine. Wrap and staple the vine around the frame.

Begin by covering the frame with tree limbs. Cut limbs the same length as each post. Soak raw hide strips in water. Use the strips to tie the limbs to each post (figure A). As the leather dries, it will tighten and hold the limb securely. Limbs can also be screwed to the post for added security.

Hang mosquito netting on the top and lower bunks. Shirr unhemmed netting that has been cut to the appropriate length and attached to strips of hook-and-loop tape (figure B). Attach to bed. Add ties at the center for rolling back the corner of the netting and tying in place to create an entrance like a tent flap.

Wrap the post with silk vines stapled in place. Add colored toss pillows, an animal print throw and some stuffed animals to finish the look.
