Alice's Tips:- Use two types of fabrics to make the cover reversible, one look for summer and one for winter.
- To personalize your slipcover, consider adding a monogram.
- Adding trim to the cover gives the fabric a clean edge.
- To make your slipcover child-friendly, use soft cottons, comfy to lean against and easy to clean. Add colorful ribbons (glue on or sew) across a solid fabric to create a youthful strip effect.
- To soften your new headboard, use a staple gun to attach a layer of batting over the old wood. Slip on the new slipcover and lean back.
- Don't bother to sew a seam in the bottom of the fabric. It will be completely covered by your bed and bedding, so no one will ever see it.

Steps:
1. Cut the fabric out to match the existing shape of your headboard. The easiest way to cut it is to first roll out your fabric, and then lay your headboard on top. Cut around the edge of your headboard leaving an extra few inches for seam allowance.
2. Do the same thing with your second fabric
3. Measure your trim along the edge of the headboard. Give yourself a couple of extra inches before you make your cut.
4. Pin your two fabrics and the trim in place
5. Turn the cover inside out and sew. You're going to sew through all three layers of the slipcover leaving the bottom open.
6. Turn the cover right side out and slip it over your headboard
