Egg Topiaries

Cover a cone form with dyed or natural eggshells for a perfect spring accessory.
Materials:

two-dozen fresh eggs
floral foam
plastic foam cone
container
moss/greenery
vinegar
food coloring
toothpick
awl
hot glue gun

Steps:

1. Prepare the eggshells by making a small hole in one end and another slightly larger one the side with an awl. Break the yoke with a toothpick and carefully blow air through the small hole to remove the yoke/whites.

2. Cut the foam and place it inside the container so it's snug. Glue the cone base to the foam, and hide the bottom edge with moss/greenery.

3. To dye the shells, boil three cups of water and mix two tablespoons of vinegar and two to three drops of food coloring in. Put the eggshells in and remove the pan from the heat. Let the shells soak until satisfied with the color.

4. Glue a row of shells around the base of the cone by gently pressing them in place. Add a layer of moss and repeat until finished.
