Wooden frame with metallic inks

Materials:

wooden frame
metallic Ink-abilities - Posh
rubber gloves
balsa wood
X-Acto  knife
stamping mat with back-up paper
Duet rubber stamps - Posh
embossing ink
embossing powder
cleaning tray with rag
glue

Steps:

1.Wear rubber gloves to keep hands clean.

2. Apply ink to one edge of the sponge, one color next to the other across the entire edge (figure A).

3. Pull the inked sponge edge across one side of the wooden frame (figure B ).

4. Re-ink and repeat on each remaining side.

5. Allow the frame to dry thoroughly.

6. Seal with clear sealer if desired.

7. Stamp Duet stamps onto the balsa wood using embossing ink (figure C).

8. Sprinkle the stamped images liberally with embossing powder.

9. Heat with an embossing heat tool until the powder melts.

10. Cut out the stamped image with the X-Acto knife.

11. Glue the stamped image onto the frame (figure D).

Pop-up frame

Materials:

black paper pop-up frame - Posh
metallic Ink-abilities - Posh
Ink-abilities small square rainbow sponge - Posh
rubber gloves
stamping mat with backup paper
cleaning tray with rag
opaque sticker paper
card stock scrap
Duet stamps - Posh
Marvy brush art markers
scissors
pencil
Pop-dots glue dots - Posh
metallic embossing ink and powder
embossing heat tool - Posh

Steps:

1.Wear rubber gloves to keep hands clean.

2. If desired, sketch a pattern on one square side of the rainbow sponge.

3. Block the center of the frame with a sticky note to protect it from stray ink.

4. Apply ink to the sponge over the pattern (figure E).

5. Stamp the sponge onto the frame using light, even pressure the first time, and increasing the pressure of each subsequent stamping. Continue around the edge of the frame (figure F).

6. While the frame is drying, stamp Duet solid images onto sticker paper using brush art markers.

7. Apply stamped sticker paper to the cardstock leaving a large border.

8. Stamp a Duet outline image over the solid image using metallic embossing ink.

9. Quickly shake embossing powder over the metallic ink to cover it liberally. Shake the excess back into the jar.

10. Heat with an embossing heat tool until the powder melts.

11. Cut out the image, leaving small paper borders around all edges.

12. Apply Pop-dots to the backs of the cut-out Duet images. Stick them onto the frame as desired.
