Spray baskets with furniture oil to restore the sheen.
Baskets are used a lot in home decor, but they can become worn looking. Restore them by following these steps:

  1. Spray them with light furniture oil, or sponge them down with a solution of 40 percent castor oil and 60 percent alcohol.
  2. Wipe off any excess with a clean, soft cloth.
  3. Repeat the process every year or two for a nice luster.
