Glass Votives

Light up the night with rice paper-wrapped candleholders.

Roll colorful translucent rice paper around straight-sided drinking glasses. Cut the paper so the top edge extends beyond the height of the glass. Secure rice paper with tape. Wrap another, smaller piece of rice paper in a contrasting color around the first piece. Tie with waxed twine or raffia; remove tape. Insert tea lights or taller votive candles to light up a corner or whole room.
