Materials:

exterior architectural urethane finials
base coat lavender acrylic craft paint
1" paintbrushes
Plaid crackle medium
light blue acrylic craft paint
paste wax
red paint tint
Zar moorish teak oil-based wood stain
raw umber aging oil paint
rags

Steps:
  1. Apply two coats of lavender acrylic paint, allowing one hour of drying time between each. After final coat, allow to dry several hours.
  2. Apply two coats crackle finish following manufacturer's instructions.
  3. Apply one topcoat of light blue acrylic paint according to crackle medium manufacturer's instructions and let dry.
  4. Mix paint tint with paste wax until all one color.
  5. Rub on tinted paste wax with a soft cloth, letting the wax fill the cracks. Wait a few minutes, and buff to a low sheen.
  6. Rub on wood stain and wipe off excess. Allow to dry for a couple of days.
  7. Age the entire piece by rubbing on raw umber oil paint. This will also take a few days to dry.
