Materials:

oversize wooden picture frame with wide molding - at least 3 feet high*
chicken wire, wide enough to fit into the frame in one length (do not "piece" the wire together)
wire cutter
protective gloves
staple gun and staples
small pegboard hooks
bulldog clips
*A 4- or 5-foot frame would be best, but if you cannot find a frame this large, buy the molding and make the frame.

Steps:

  1. If the frame is old, clean it and paint or stain as desired to match the decor.
  2. Cut the chicken wire with wire cutters to fit into the back of the frame.
  3. Wearing gloves, attach the chicken wire with a staple gun.
  4. Use the hooks and bulldog clips to attach favorite photos and other memorabilia to the framed wire board.
  5. Hang the board or lean it against the wall in the desired location.
Additional Ideas
  • Attach wire baskets to board for added storage or display.
  • Look for interesting decorative clips to use for attaching items to the board.
