Have you ever happened upon a picture frame that is embellished with a big, beautiful bow? If so, you probably learned from inspecting the price tag that such unusual frame designs can become expensive if you plan to collect an ensemble. With this in mind, Carol simply ties a couple of pieces of ribbon into a bow to hang on the wall behind a picture or photograph, thereby producing an elegant look for only a few dollars.

Materials:

ribbon
wire or sewing materials (needle and thread)

Steps:
  1. Cut two pieces of ribbon to desired length. The pieces do not need be the same length if you want the two bows to be different sizes.
  2. For the first bow, lay one of the ribbons on a flat surface. Cross the ends over. Pinch together at the middle of the loop. Scrunch the ribbon and hold it in place by taking a tack at the center or by wrapping thin wire around the middle.
  3. Repeat Step 2 for the other ribbon.
  4. Fold another piece of ribbon in half lengthwise and wrap it around the middle of the two separate bows so they are linked together. Cut the ends off.
  5. Fold another peice of long ribbon widthwise and attaching to the center at the fold. This will become the "tails" of the bow.
