Metal Candle Collars

thin card stock
masking tape
40 gauge / 0.003 in copper (or other metallic) foil
wooden block
scissors
ballpoint pen
bradawl

1. Create a design and draw it onto thin card stock, then cut out to use as a template.
2. Tape the template to the metallic foil.
3. Draw around it using a ballpoint pen to imprint the design.
4. Remove the template and cut out the design. To pierce the center, use a bradawl (figure A), then insert the scissors through the hole, and cut out the center for the candle to slide into.
5. Place the collar face down onto a sheet of thin card stock. Make a random design on the collar using a ballpoint pen to press the design into the collar.
6. Place the collar onto the candlestick and place in holder.
