Materials:
glass beads (Fuchsia, Lavender, Green, Pastel Pink Pearl, Clear, Aqua)
red liner tape (sheet, 1/4", 1/2", circles)
papier mache eggs
acrylic paint (Lime Green , Light Lavender, Naples Red, Purple, Aqua, Yellow Straw, Light and Dark Pink)
1/2" foam brush
electric stencil cutting pen
scissors
sea sponge
assorted ribbons and trims
clear satin acrylic spray
computer print of monograms and phrases
gold metallic marker
plastic wrap
Steps:
Monogrammed Egg
- Paint egg Naples Red (two coats if necessary) and let dry. Dip a slightly damp sea sponge into Dark Pink and sponge egg. Repeat with Light Pink. Once dry, spray with clear sealer.
- Place a band of 1/2-inch liner tape around egg. Remove red liner and dip into pastel pearl beads. Repeat with 1/4-inch tape but cover it with trim instead.
- Place monogram under a sheet of liner tape (red side up) and cut letters out with stencil cutter. Work on a hard surface such as glass.
- Place letters on egg; remove red liner and dip into pearl beads. Outline with gold marking pen.
Tape Shapes
- Paint egg Light Lavender (two coats if necessary) and let dry. Use plastic wrap to dab Purple onto the surface. Once dry, spray with clear sealer.
- Use stencil cutting pen and a sheet of red liner tape to create various shapes in a variety of sizes.
- Adhere shapes to the egg randomly and remove the red liner from one at a time. Dip into various colored beads.
Ribbon Stripe Egg
- Paint egg Lime Green (two coats if necessary) and let dry. Paint Aqua polka dots randomly on egg. Once dry, spray with clear sealer.
- Evenly wrap egg with four lengths of 1/4-inch liner tape to make stripes. Remove liner and place green ribbon over tape.
- Adhere liner tape circles to egg and remove liner. Roll in beads.
