See how easy it is to make a stylish memo board for any room in your home.
Materials:

fabric
ribbon
hot glue gun
pressed paper board (available at lumber yards)
utility knife
quilt batting
staple gun
buttons or upholstery tacks
hammer

Steps:

1. Cut the paper board to the desired size using a utility knife (the featured project measures 30" x 48"). Wrap the board with batting and staple it to the back. Repeat the process with fabric, making sure to secure it very tightly in place.

2. Add the ribbons in the desired pattern, making sure to cut each long enough to overlap onto the back of the board. Secure each with staples.
3. Put an "X" with staples at the intersections of the ribbons to help hold them taut so note cards and the like will stay in place (figure A).

4. Hide the staples with buttons hot glued in place or tack upholstery tacks at each intersection to secure the ribbons (figure B).
