Garlands of starfish and shells gently tacked to the wall look fabulous and add an unexpected detail in this small half bath.
Materials:

shells
drill
wooden block
ribbon or thin rope

Steps:

1. Practice drilling holes in extra shells over the wooden block to give you a sense of how much pressure to use and exactly what size drill bit will be best for each shell type. Once satisfied, drill a hole into each side of the shells.
2. Lay out the pieces you want on the garland (the featured garland uses five items per section, three starfish and two scallops). Consider the weight of the shells and limit the number of items on each piece so they aren't too heavy. If you need to cover more space, make several garlands to be lined up along the wall.
3. Pull the ribbon or roping through the holes and tie a knot in each end.
