Picture Frames for Mom

flat wooden frames
acrylic paints in desired colors
clear-drying white craft glue
paintbrushes
small glass beads (round and bugle)
shallow metal or glass bowl
clear acrylic spray

Steps:

1. Clean frames with damp cloth and let dry.
2. Paint each with chosen color and allow to dry.
3. Brush a thick coat of glue to the frame front.
4. Working over a bowl, sprinkle glass beads over glue until completely covered. Let dry. Repeat process as necessary until frame front is totally covered in beads.
5. Repeat process for the sides.
6. Apply acrylic spray to help beads stay in place.

Tips:

• If using small frames, fill a bowl with beads and press the glued frame into them.
• Mix bead colors before applying to the frame such as red, pink and orange for a bright look and silver and black for a sophisticated one.
