Create a pretty habitat for a fish in a vase by adding colorful marbles and a plant.
Materials:

large vase (small neck with larger bottom)
glass beads or marbles
small peace lily
a fish of your choice
distilled water
clear plastic plant saucer
scissors
de-chlorinating drops

Steps:

  1. Use drops to prepare the water. Fill the vase, leaving about an inch of space for air below the neck.
  2. Put marbles or glass beads in the bottom and carefully put the fish in.
  3. Remove the peace lily from its container and shake off as much dirt as possible . Run the roots under warm water until dirt is completely removed.
  4. Push roots through the saucer opening and fill it with marbles.
  5. Place the saucer into the neck so that the roots hang into the water.
  6. To feed the fish, remove the saucer and sprinkle food down into vase.
  7. Put the fish in another bowl when the water is cloudy and fill the vase with fresh de-chlorinated water after cleaning it.
  8. Trim the roots with scissors if they become too large.
