Figure B
Containers for Fresh Flowers

Designer Jacquelin Quarles-McCoy says that when fresh flowers are placed in fine pieces such as china urns or pottery, water sometimes seeps out through the small cracks. Thus, it's a good idea to use a drinking glass or plastic floral container for the flowers (figure A), then insert that into the "good" container. Another option is to place wet floral foam inside a plastic bag, then put that in the container and insert flowers into the foam (figure B).
