Decoupaged Photo Pot Materials:
8" clay pot
white craft glue
paintbrush or sponge
plastic plates
mini paint roller
spray paint
sharp scissors
polyurethane
12-24 family photos /photographs of tropical flowers
orchid
Steps:
1. Spray-paint inside, outside and bottom of the clean pot. Let dry.
2. Make color copies of the photos and cut closely around people and flowers.
3. Pour glue onto a plastic plate and brush some on the back of a picture on another plate. Place it where desired on the pot and brush another layer of glue over it . Smooth air bubbles and glue with mini paint roller or fingers. Repeat until pot is decorated as desired. Let dry.
4. Apply several coats of polyurethane, allowing it to dry between layers. Let dry.
5. Fill pot with favorite orchid.
Painted Leaf Pots
Materials:
tapered terra cotta pot
patio paints (gold, green, silver)
plastic plates
small foam paintbrushes
tropical leaves
rubber gloves (optional)
tropical plant
Steps:
1. Paint rim of pot gold and let dry.
2. Paint one side of a leaf thoroughly. Press it against the pot and rub over it with fingertips to create a stamped image. Carefully lift the leaf and repeat with other leaf varieties. Let dry.
3. Fill pot with desired plant.
