Figure C
Coastal Living magazine's Carol Vose shares how to create beautiful wreaths and arrangements using shells, greenery and rustic tools.
  • Create an arrangement in the shape of a French victory wreath using seashealls, sea lavender, artemisia and sweet fern (figure A).
  • Fill an old fishing creel with native sweet fern, rabbit's foot clove, sea lavender and dried roses. Place a large shell in the front to keep the bouquet in place.
  • Decorate a grapevine wreath with colorful flowers and attach a garden spade in the center (figure B).
  • Highlight an antique tool, like a cranberry rake, with an arrangement of cedar, rye grass, artemisia, wheat, chives and sea lavender (figure C). Simply shave foam to fit inside, attach with hot glue and insert greenery. Hang on a wall or use as a table centerpiece.
