Lark Foster demonstrates how to make miniature interior landscapes for focal points on a tabletop--also known as dish gardens.
Make a beautiful miniature landscape to complement your decor:
- Remove plants from florist's containers and loosen the roots. Place in larger containers so roots can move about freely.
- When using a bonsai dish or other containers as planters, repot plants every two years. Do this by removing them, pruning roots and replacing in larger containers.
- For the featured landscape, a one-gallon juniper and other nursery plants were used. Sand, moss and pebbles come in handy to create the illusion of streams and grass.
