Materials:
leaves
heavy books
hand-written ledgers, worn/damaged old books or old sheet music
frames
mat board
archival glue
foam brush
paper towels
flower press (optional)
foam core
Steps:
1. Collect freshly fallen leaves and flatten them in a flower press or between layers of paper towels (place heavy books over the latter for weight). Set aside for a few days to one week until dry.
2. Cut foam core and matting to fit frame (choose a mat color that complements the chosen pages).
3. Brush some glue onto the mat board and press paper page(s) in place. Remove wrinkles and bubbles and let dry.
4. Apply glue on the page(s) where the leaf/leaves will go, and then press them in place spine side up. Frame with or without glass.
