Decoupaged Sap Buckets

Fill sap buckets covered in romantic motifs with flowers, special notes and cards, mail or office supplies.

crushed metal sap buckets
flat latex enamel paint
paintbrush (foam and bristle )
scissors
white craft glue
craft knife
cutting mat
romantic imagery (wrapping paper, old Valentines, magazine pictures, etc.)
beeswax
double boiler
wire
crystals, beads or buttons

Steps:

1. Paint bucket in desired color and let dry.
2. Cut and arrange imagery on surface of one side of bucket until satisfied. Apply glue to the bucket and put images in place. Apply another layer of glue over design and let dry.
3. Thread crystals, beads or buttons on wire and attach them to the handle.
4. Brush melted beeswax over the design to age it. Let dry.
