Add extra storage space by making the most of unused overhead space with a window frame and some hardware.
Materials:

old window frame
chain
safety goggles
gloves
hammer
pliers
decorative trim molding
2 towels
4 eyehooks
4 Molly bolts
4 ceiling hooks

Steps :

  1. If necessary, remove any old glass in the frame. Put the window between two towels and gently break the glass with a hammer while wearing goggles and gloves . Use pliers to remove any remaining shards.
  2. Sand the frame to remove splinters and rough spots.
  3. Attach the molding to the edges with finish nails.
  4. Drill a hole in each corner so eyehooks can be attached. Use pliers and a screwdriver to pry open a chain link and slip it on the eyehook. Bend the link back to secure it.
  5. Screw the hooks in and hang the rack from the ceiling with Molly bolts and ceiling hooks. Fill with pots, pans and dried flowers.
