Steps:
1. Base-coat canvas green and let dry.
2. Draw cat pattern and trace it in desired position on the canvas.
3. Create a checkered border to simulate the rug the cat is sitting on with paint markers or a ruling pen and fill in opposite squares using paintbrushes. Add a brown border and let dry.
4. Base-coat the cat figure in black and use a light gray on the chest. Fill the eyes in with yellow and the nose tan. Add shading to the eyes by brushing some Burnt Sienna along the upper portion of each. Use gray to define the tail, legs, ears, cheeks and above the eyes. Let dry.
5. Add an aged look by brushing on a 50/50 mixture of brown/black paint and glaze over the entire surface. Wipe away the excess in a circular motion with a rag. Soften the lines with a blending brush. Let dry.
6. Use white to highlight the eyes. Use a wet brush to thin gray paint for the whiskers. Define the chest using a filbert brush and white paint.
7. Apply sealer for protection.
