Bring outdoor house gutters inside to make a beautiful frame with an aged patina.
Materials:

8' galvanized gutter piece
4 galvanized gutter corners
tin snips
metal file
safety glasses
Modern Options (Copper Topper and Patina Green)
black spray metal primer
gloves
foam brushes
plastic plates
clear silicone
clamps or clothespins
white vinegar
cotton cloth
tape measure
pencil

Steps:

1. Measure and mark four equal lengths of straight gutter. Cut with tin snips and file rough edges smooth. Snap two lengths into each side of the corners to assemble the frame. Use caulk to glue inside corners and clamp until dry.

2. Clean gutter with a solution of vinegar and water to remove residue and let dry. Spray with one coat of black primer and let dry.

3. Brush a thin coat of copper solution on frame. Let dry 30 minutes. Repeat with a second coat.

4. Apply a third coat and let it dry just until tacky. Lightly apply patina solution where desired. The verdigris effect will start to appear in minutes. Repeat this step until desired effect is achieved.
