Figure B
Materials:

latex satin base coat (Ralph Lauren Country Collection - Pine Springs CO02A)
dark green glaze for top coat (Ralph Lauren Antique Leather Collection - Hunting Fields LE05)
roller
wallpaper or hard-bristle brush
paintbrush

Steps:

1. After applying the base coat and allowing it to dry, roll the glaze on in a small area. Add texture to it with the brush by moving it around in different directions to keep the pattern random (figure A). Add softness if desired with a dry paintbrush.

2. Repeat procedure over entire surface by rolling the next section into the previous one (figure B). Move right along to avoid overlap marks. However, if they are happening, plan their placement to look like marble veining.

3. Consider the trim before painting a room. Keeping it all the same color helps to tie a house together, keeps things neat and only one can is needed for touch ups . The featured home has stark white trim throughout, so choosing a softer color would stand out because it goes against the rest of the rooms.
