Steps:
- Measure and cut suede to fit footstool (plus extra needed to wrap around to upholster piece).
- Use scissors to trim around the Easy Guild design desired, leaving at least 1/4 inch around entire design. Remove paper backing and carefully place the design, adhesive side down, onto right side of suede. Secure design to surface by taping one corner using removable tape. Place the tool onto the design (be sure to follow manufacturer's directions for use of Easy Guild tool). Gently rub back and forth, burnishing the adhesive onto the surface. Before removing the backing, lift up a corner to ensure the complete transfer of the Easy Guild Design. If not, simply lay it back down and continue to rub.
- Use scissors to cut a piece of Easy Guild Foil a little larger than the adhesive design. Place foil, shiny side up, on top of design. Smooth gently with fingers. Notice the image of the design through the foil. Burnish the foil with the Easy Guild Tool by making single strokes from the top of the design toward the bottom. Apply gentle, even pressure. Remove foil. If there are any skips, place the foil over the skip, burnish lightly and remove. The more the guilded design is touched and rubbed, the more it will shine.
- Upholster footstool using staple gun, small nails, brads or decorative tacks.
