Figure C
Host Renai Ellison shows how easy it is to give new life to old home accessories by covering them with handmade papers.

Materials:

art paper
scissors
frame or tabletop
primer
decoupage medium
sponge brush
craft knife
kraft paper
glue or double-sided tape

Steps:

  1. Cut out art paper to fit the frame or tabletop. Be sure to notch the corners of the paper.

  2. Apply a coat of primer to the tabletop.

  3. Apply decoupage medium and stick the paper to the frame or tabletop. For a frame, use a craft knife to cut out the center of the frame (figure A). Make sure the paper is smooth.

  4. Curl the edges of the paper (figure B) around the frame or tabletop and stick paper to the sides.

  5. Cut small pieces of kraft paper and use glue or double-sided tape to attach them in the desired pattern on a frame or tabletop (figure C). Coat with decoupage medium.
