Materials:
printed fabric for the curtains*
color copies of the fabric
scissors
decoupage glue
* Select fabric that has a pattern with a recurring, colorful pattern with individual shapes to cut out.
Steps:
- Decide which pieces of the molding around the window will be accentuated.
- Take the fabric to a copy store and make several color copies of the pattern from the fabric.
- Cut out the images from the color paper.
- Hang the curtain so that it does not cover the pieces of molding that will be highlighted.
- Decoupage the images onto the molding. To produce a three-dimensional effect, let some pieces protrude from the molding.
Tip: This same technique may be used on baseboards and crown molding, or around the tub in the bathroom.
