Steps:
- Clamp 1" x 4" pine strips in desired length.
- Use a variable speed jigsaw to remove random edges off the wood strips.
- Soften any other edges with a grinder for a more distressed look if desired .
- Use a drill with wire wheel to grind out the soft grain, leaving the hard grain of the wood.
- Mix Aquacreme: one part to an equal part of a 50/50 mixture of Aquacolors (White and Black).
- Brush glaze onto raw wood and wipe excess off with a cotton rag (figure A).
- Add more White Aquacolor to the original glaze mixture and dry-brush it onto the wood. Try not to get a lot of this into the recessed areas of the grain.
- Wipe again with a cotton rag to remove any excess glaze (figure B).
- Use mending plates on the back of the wood to connect sections together (figure C).
- Use hinges on the front of all four corners as a decorative accent.
- Use mirror frame clips to hold mirror in place (figure D).
