Enhancing a Metal Headboard

Soften the metal tone of a new bed with paint, giving it an aged appearance instead of an off-the-showroom-floor look.
Materials:

latex paint (Ecru SW6135) (Sherwin-Williams)
paintbrush
rags
plastic pail

Steps:

1. Pour some paint into the pail, and then brush it on lightly here and there. Don't try for complete coverage, just highlights.
2. Let the paint sit until it's almost dry, and then buff it to blend the color in.
