Poster Display Door

Express yourself by decorating door panels with posters combined with a faux finish.

posters
scissors
decoupage glue
foam brushes
brayer
acrylic paint (Burnt Umber)
latex paint (orange and yellow)
candle
sandpaper

Steps :

1. Paint door orange and let dry. Rub a candle around the outer edges to create a resist and paint over it with yellow (semi-gloss).

2. Once dry, lightly sand the edges to reveal portions of orange paint. Wipe dust off.

3. Cut poster to fit inside panels as desired and trace around the image if it doesn't fill the panel.

4. Paint a border around the outer panel edges with Burnt Umber. Let dry.

5. Brush glue inside the traced lines and put the poster in position. Use a brayer to flatten it. Repeat with remaining posters.

6. Apply a layer of glue over the entire door to seal it.
