assortment of rags
dark wood stain in desired color
white acrylic paint
squirt bottle with water

Aged Terra Cotta

Steps:

  1. Paint a clean statue with gray acrylic primer. Let dry.
  2. Spray with the detergent and water mixture (it will start to bubble). Dab off excess.
  3. Apply green wood stain to the surface and before it dries, pack dirt or soil into the cracks and crevices. Add some moss if desired.
  4. Let dry and shake off excess.
  5. Finish by spraying with artist's acrylic clear sealer.
