Materials:
unfinished table clock
Pearl Luster Tex
wall scaler
antique white base paint
deep brown/black acrylic for trim
dark brown scumble
aging washes (Old World and Smoke)
sandpaper
tack rag
cheesecloth
plastic bag
2 " bristle brush
Steps:
- Prepare clock by sanding, tacking and scaling.
- Apply antique white base paint.
- Brush on Pearl Luster Tex.
- While still wet, pounce with plastic bag to create texture. Let dry.
- Glaze with aging washes (mixed together).
- Pad off lightly with cheesecloth.
- If desired, splatter lightly with aging wash.
- Repaint trim areas.
- Age clock face with dark brown scumble. Pat with cheesecloth.
- Varnish entire piece if desired.
