Steps:
- Cut foam-core board and padding to the size of the frame you want to use. You'll need a utility knife or craft knife for this, as scissors may create rough edges. Attach padding to foam core board with spray adhesive. Use several layers of padding, securing each layer with spray adhesive.
- Secure fabric to padding with spray adhesive (figure A). Fold all the edges over the foam-core board and fasten with hot glue. Run ribbon in a crisscross pattern and secure with hot glue.
- Attach fabric to a sheet of posterboard (also cut to size) and fasten edges with hot glue. Fasten panels to each other (figure B). This will ensure that the message board looks attractive from the back. Glue the complete backing to the frame with hot glue.
- Use hot glue to adorn the frame with artificial flowers and leaves.
- Use industrial-strength glue to embellish push pins with recycled jewelry or other craft embellishments of choice (figure C).
- Once the glue has dried, use the embellished push pins as you would for a home message center (figure D).
