The bed before was rather stark and more contemporary feeling than was desired.

Adding drapes to the bedposts hides most of the iron and creates a dramatic new look.
Materials:

velvet drapery panels
grommets
velvet ribbon

Steps:

  1. Add grommets to the header and thread ribbon through and around the bed canopy.
  2. Line the entire headboard with drapes to completely hide it.
