Cover a small stool with a fabric remnant and add braid or fringe.
Host Kitty Bartholomew and designer Sandy Garrett have a few tips on ways to use fabric yardage and remnants around the house:

  • Fabric can be hung from a rod, a board or from rings nailed to the wall. You can use dressmaker fabrics as well as decorator fabrics.
  • Make a throw from a couple of yards of luxurious fabric such as chenille or velvet (make sure the back side of the fabric is attractive enough to show). Simply bind the edges with a complementary color for a quick finish.
  • A small remnant can be worked into a display of items on a shelf or table.
