Punched Table Covers

Materials:

oilcloth or plastic table covering
decorative ribbon
decorative scissors
decorative hole punches

Tip:

This is a good technique for place mats and coasters, as well.

Steps:

1. Use decorative scissors to cut a design along the edge of an oilcloth or plastic table covering.
2. Make two rows of holes with the punches just above each edge.
3. Weave ribbon through the holes. Use different colors for each row.
4. Tie-off the ribbons with a loop or a loose bow.
5. If desired, add beads to the ribbon to act as a weight.
