Materials:
glass beads without holes (pearls, clear, black opalescent, gold)
red liner (1/4" and 6" x 9" sheet tape)
stencil
baby powder
fabrics
large plastic containers (to hold beads)
assorted pillows
scissors
Striped Pillow
- Place 1/4" red liner tape on pillow as desired (trim to length with scissors).
- Remove top red plastic strip. Pour desired color pearl beads into large container . Place pillow into beads, adhesive-side down.
- Push beads onto tape with fingers. Shake off excess.
Bead/Fabric-Covered Pillow Front
- Cut piece of fabric to fit pillow front, remove backing of large piece of red liner tape and place onto fabric.
- Remove front plastic and place piece face down into clear beads until covered. Use another sheet of red liner tape on back of piece to secure to pillow front or stitch in place.
Bead/Fabric Cutouts
Follow the same directions as above, except after covering fabric with red liner sheet, cut out design using scissors, then remove red plastic and cover with beads .
Stencil Bead Pillow
- Cut a piece of red liner sheet tape to fit area on pillow and larger than stencil . Remove backing and secure to pillow. Remove red plastic.
- Very lightly dust back of stencil with baby powder. Place stencil onto adhesive . Fill in windows of stencil with black beads and push them down with fingers.
- Remove stencil (carefully lift from top and pull away). Fill in remainder of adhesive area with clear beads.
