Wrap a basin-style sink with a king size sheet to hide bathroom necessities underneath.
Materials:

flat sheet
complementary material
waterproof Velcro
no-sew tape

Steps:

  1. Measure your basin-style sink from about an inch above its bottom edge to the floor and add 3/4 inch. Measure around sink where the skirt will hang and double this measurement for gathering.
  2. With the hemmed edge of the sheet as skirt hem, cut the fabric from the sheet. If you want a center opening, cut the fabric in half lengthwise, using fusible bonding, fold the outer edge of the material over the bonding and iron.
  3. Press 3/4 inch under at top edge. Gather edge with two rows of long, machine-stitches. Pull the bobbin threads to gather the top to fit along the sink. A second option is to again use the fusible bonding and create a casing by folding over the top edge of the material about 1/2 inch. Run a strip of ribbon through the casing and gather.
  4. Hang the skirt and mark position of the lower edge of the pocket about 15 inches below the top.
  5. Cut a 9" x 19" piece of contrasting sheet or same sheet with the wide hem across the top, press 1/2 inch under at the sides and the bottom, using the fusible bonding.
  6. Remove the skirt and stitch the edges of pocket in place. Topstitch two vertical rows six inches apart to form three pocket sections.
  7. Pockets can be used to hold brushes, curling iron, etc.
  8. Use waterproof Velcro to attach skirt to the sink.
