J.W. Cannon Home Ornament
Middle school art teacher Len Barnhardt, from Mount Pleasant, NC, was chosen to represent his state because of the unique bird's-eye perspective that he gives to his 3-D models of historic homes. For the White House Christmas tree, he chose to depict the J.W. Cannon home in Concord, NC. The white clapboard Queen Anne home was built by a textile family in 1900.
