Before: Peyton and Blair think there's too much stuff on their walls (their sentimental mom saves EVERYTHING). They need a desk as they're tired of doing homework in the kitchen and luckily, both agree they want a futuristic, outer space theme.

After: Dark blue walls are great for the outer space motif but masculine enough to carry the boys into their teen years. Inexpensive details can be easily changed when they grow tired of the look and exposing the hardwood floors makes the room cleaner.

Before: It's clear this boys' room needs help with all the clutter as toys, certificates, books and mementos are all over the place! The boring white walls don't create an imaginative atmosphere either.

After: Magnetic paint behind the wall color allows for an interchangeable art feature while organizing the clutter frees the boys up to explore their interests and be productive with schoolwork. Insulation foam asteroids suspended from the ceiling give the room dimension and whimsy.
Homeowners Chris and Terisa Whitteds' boys, Peyton and Blair, have outgrown their cramped room filled with baby artifacts and toys. With help from designer Karen McAloon and the Design Remix team, they give this room an interplanetary remix. With hanging asteroids, a custom rocket lamp and a new space-saving desk, the room is transformed from ordinary to a fun, outer space place.
