A Frog-Themed Nursery

A boring white room in a new home becomes a cozy frog-themed nursery for the soon-to-arrive bundle of joy.

Before: This nursery has all the necessary furniture, but since it and the walls are all white, the room is cold and sterile. The parents would like to go with a frog theme, but only have a light so far.

After: Pastel walls with a simple scallop design were inspired by the chosen crib bedding. These soft colors set the tone for a soothing room ready to welcome baby.

Before: This desk will make a useful changing table, and then will resume its intended purpose once the baby is older.

After: A simple wooden platform holds the changing pad snuggly and adds the necessary height to prevent backaches.

Before: This new bathroom needs to be tied into the frog theme as well. Its plain white walls and fixtures aren't very exciting.

After: Blue walls that are slightly darker than the bedroom color set the tone for the simple decorations including a frog border and a shower curtain painted with a transferred frog design.
Hosts Matt Fox and Shari Hiller leap into action to transform a plain white bedroom and adjoining bathroom into a colorful, frog-themed nursery. A new color scheme, storage ideas and the right accessories are just some of the projects that help complete the design.
