The tones in a cowboy chic room include brown, green and burgundy--any shade that conjures up images of the western landscape.
Designer Sharon Salvano explains the cowboy chic style and that with only three things; color, texture and accessories, any room can get that western flair. See how easy it is to get this look:

  • Cowboy chic is a rugged, daring and sophisticated all-American look that combines personal style with rustic charm and ties it all together with the romance of the west. The rustic feel comes from the colors and textures that form the foundation of the cowboy chic look.

  • As for texture, the cowboy chic style calls for lots of thick textures that are going to wear well and be durable.

The modern twist in this style comes from contemporary furnishings built from metals like these contemporary cows and woods in styles that evoke the old west, plus newer fabrics like faux furs.
  • The accessories really make a room cowboy chic and take it to the next level. They can be anything to do with the Midwest and/or anything early American.

  • Finally, don't be afraid of a little character and history when incorporating this style. The beauty of this look is that it's well worn and the more lived in, the better.
