Sue Pelley shares ideas for creating the popular safari look using wall coverings and accessories:

Hang a mirror with a monkey motif over a wall covering with soft palm trees (figure A).
Combine a realistic-looking animal border with a subtler wall covering in any room for the safari feeling.
Get the safari look with foliage wallpaper combined with a very subtle leopard -print paper.
The safari look can be achieved with light-colored fabrics comprised of sages , pinks and creams if preferred to more traditional dark colors.
Go bold with camel and elephant wallpaper for a dramatic safari room (figure B).
Use woven wood window coverings and hang mosquito netting to enhance the feeling .
Incorporate animal print area rugs and throw pillows to quickly add this look to any room.
