Figure A--When you go to the beach, don't you want to bring it back with you? It's possible to capture some of that experience by bringing back mementos such as seashells, starfish and even artwork that reflects the area you've visited. Bring these elements together on a mantel to capture the eye as one enters the room. Adorn a frame with seashells and insert your favorite beach photo.

Figure B--Think of comfort and the colors of the ocean when decorating the bed. This featherbed is adorned with a down comforter, which covers soft and inviting sheets. Bring in blues, greens and sandy colors in muted shades. A chenille throw is wonderful for curling up in with a good book. Place a selection of scented lotions at the foot of the bed. This is an especially nice touch for a guest room.

Figure C--Use burlap to make your own panels or select premade panels to create this tab window treatment. A length of bamboo serves as the curtain rod. Use hot glue to randomly place seashells on the curtain panels. After you've threaded the panels onto the bamboo, secure a seashell at each end. Hang over a window and enjoy the oceanside look.
