The passage way next to the kitchen is converted into a music room/office. Two new console desks with drawers provide plenty of workspace and storage. Glass pendant lights are suspended from a track so they can slide back and forth over the desks. The floor is resurfaced in 24 x 24-inch carpet tile. The carpet tiles are easy to maintain and if there is ever a stain, the whole carpet does not need replacing, just the stained tiles. A door is torn off an adjacent closet and the opening is made bigger to give the homeowner more space to store his music equipment.
