Lots of Hidden Storage
It's hard being a material girl in small square footage, but that didn't stop Iris Weinstein. Working with architect Larry Bowne, she found many ways to disguise storage. Although she intended to use Bowne's expertise in one area, she found that it soon spread to the rest of her home and lifestyle. Now she lives a life of style and elegance that fits her perfectly.

Soothing and Calming
Muted colors set the tone of Weinstein's studio. The floors are bleached, and the brick walls are whitewashed. These elements change typical city components, including a big red brick wall that dominated the space, into a more modern and subtle composition. A table that is mounted to the wall and folds in three parts offers flexible workspace and dining. The "floating" table and other skinny-legged furniture visually opens up floor space.
