Budget Chic in Baltimore
Lily Thayer purchased her historic Baltimore row house from her childhood friend, Britta Stennes. Stennes had refurbished the apartment with attention to historic detail and character. Thayer considers Stennes' preservation as visionary and is inspired to creatively cope with the very real limitations of historic charm.

Brick Tricks
The exposed brick is one of the historic features that gives the space character. It also poses some challenges, particularly with hanging photos or artwork. Thayer uses monofilament anchored to the ceiling beams to hang art. Adding some uplighting would create a great effect with the brick, accentuating the texture of the wall.
