The trick in the kitchen is to hide the fact that it's a kitchen. It actually looks like part of the hallway thanks to clever cabinet fronts that hide smaller, nonstandard-size appliances. Adding cabinet fronts to appliances creates uniformity, which minimizes the cluttered look in a small space.
