Small but Tall
There's not much floor space in Mark Borowski's 350-square-foot Philadelphia apartment. The 14-foot ceilings give the space more volume and Borowski has managed to capitalize on that feature. He decided to use the vertical space in a variety of creative ways, crafting a comfortable place to live and a gathering place for his friends.
Space-Defying Act
Borowski uses every trick in the book to create the illusion of space. He bought an apartment-scale couch that offers maximum seating with minimal square-footage use. Tall bookcases with a small footprint don't impede on floor space. And lots of color on the walls and trim draw the eye up and around the room. The effect is expansive.
